I live in South Korea with my husband and toddler. We are U.S. military and have been in Korea since December of 2007. I have a bachelors degree in Accounting but I 'retired' from the business world in January of 2007 when I married the military. I have always been what I like to call a 'birth geek' and after the birth of my son and a birth experience that was difficult for all of us, I felt a pull to help other women. I began studying and learning as much as I could about birth. I began helping women learn about their choices in birth and evenutally started attending births with friends.  In early 2009 I attended a DONA birth doula workshop in Oahu, Hawaii and begain attending births as a doula. I quickly completed my certification package and I have happily been attending births since. I am so inspired and empowered by the women that I work for. I believe in the birth process and in the womans ability to birth with little intervention.
