Being able to reach so many Moms is of huge value. I would like to tell you a little about me. Education is the core of what I do. Let me start with my formal acknowledgement which is included in the manual for newborn care that I author.
Nancy Hamm, CNCS is the owner of Gentle Ventures a school for the education of specialists wanting to be involved in newborns, 0 - 12 weeks. Gentle Ventures was founded after it became clear there were no guidelines set up for the Newborn Care Specialists/Night Nannies. Nancy is a visionary in the field of newborn care, and through extensive research has become as expert on the care and feeding of infants.
She has been a Newborn Care Specialist for 18 years and has over 30,000 hours of hands-on experience with babies. She continues to work directly with newborns as a Certified Newborn Care Specialist.
Nancy founded, and is Managing Director of the NCSA (Newborn Care Specialist Association). The NCSA has set up the standards for the Newborn Care Specialist, initiating certification Worldwide.
She owns Exclusively Baby Nurses, a professional placement agency, The Baby Nurse Directory, a website for parents who would like to hire a Baby Nurse without agency fees and Gentle Ventures a teaching tool for the Certification of the Newborn Care Specialist, with class on line, teleconference classes, classroom teaching and one on one classes.
All that aside, I am a Mommy first. I have 3 boys and 3 grandchildren. If they told you, you were finished when your children turn 18….they lied! You role changes but you are never done. I have the best of all worlds. I am truly blessed.
