I was drawn to this company because they seem committed to providing toxin-free, natural products for mom and baby at all stages from preconception thru pregnancy, labor/delivery and postpartum care.
The company has been recommended by OCA as an honest organic brand. And while many out there are suddenly jumping on the bandwagon of organic products, this company has been around for a while way before it became trendy or hip. Their team is made up of nurses, herbalists, labor and postpartum doulas, childbirth hypnotherapists, childbirth educators, women, mothers and grandmothers. And a father or two!
A Little Something for Baby includes a bottom balm, baby shampoo & body wash, and baby lotion. It is free from 1,4-Dioxane, formaldehyde, and phthalates which is reassuring especially amidst the latest news of possible toxification in our baby bath products. This little packet is reasonably priced at $19.95 which for 3 products averages at about $6 or so for each one which isn't too bad. It makes a practical baby shower gift or a sampler for a new baby. If your baby takes to the product, you can opt to purchase a larger size bottle.
I tried the shampoo, balm and lotion with my 9 month old. I really liked the non-chemical smell of it and my baby enjoyed having her little scalp massaged with the shampoo. I noticed that nothing built up in her hair, it wasn't sticky and that some of her cradle cap came off after I used it for a week or so. I love that it doubles as baby body wash too! The bottom balm is useful for diaper changes especially those strong smelly poo poo ones! and I applied the lotion to her little elbows and knees that seem to dry up especially now that she is crawling. My husband and I were trying to figure out what baked good the lotion reminded us of and we finally figured it out! It smells like sweet, buttery orange-lemon bundt cake. Makes the baby's skin smell sooo delicious which helps after a diaper change :)
